Alcoholics Un-anonymous

One of the issues I have with AA is that their meetings are not anonymous. I noticed at the various meetings and locations there was always a roster, an attendance sheet, checked off by the secretary.

It finally dawned on me. Most of the attendees are court-ordered to attend some sort of program. AA is the most rampant. In order for the court to recognize a person's attendance, there must be proof, thus the role sheet.

I find it so ironic how blatantly against AA's (Alcoholics Anonymous) tenets this is. Now to be named AU (Alcoholics Un-anonymous).
